Membership Rules
Society of Nuclear Medicine, Bangladesh (SNM,B)
1. Membership Categories
The Society offers the following types of membership:
- Ordinary Member (Annual Membership)
- Life Member
2. Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Have academic qualification, training, or professional involvement in Nuclear Medicine or a related field
- Be currently engaged in a relevant institution or demonstrate a genuine interest in Nuclear Medicine
- Preference will be given to applicants with experience, research work, or publications in Nuclear Medicine
3. Application Process
- Applicants must complete the official Membership Form
- The form must include:
- Personal details
- Educational background
- Professional experience
- Areas of special interest
- Each application must be:
- Proposed by one member
- Seconded by another member
- The applicant must sign and date the form
4. Approval Process
- The Membership Committee will review all applications
- Based on its recommendation, the Executive Body will make the final decision
- The approval will be confirmed by the General Secretary
8. Termination of Membership
Membership may be terminated if:
- The member violates the rules of the Society
- Membership fees remain unpaid for a prolonged period
- The member engages in activities detrimental to the Society
9. Amendments
The Executive Body reserves the right to amend these Membership Rules as necessary.
5. Membership Fees
- Life Membership Fee: BDT 3,000 (one-time)
- Annual Membership Fee: BDT 1,000 (per year)
6. Rights & Privileges
Members are entitled to:
- Participate in meetings, seminars, and official events of the Society
- Voting rights (where applicable)
- Opportunities for professional development and research collaboration
- Access to Society publications and activities
7. Responsibilities of Members
Members are expected to:
- Abide by the rules and regulations of the Society
- Pay membership fees on time
- Maintain professional ethics and integrity
- Contribute to the advancement of Nuclear Medicine
