Welcome Message

25th National Conference

Welcome Message

Dear Members of SNMB & Colleagues

On behalf of the Society of Nuclear Medicine Bangladesh (SNMB), it is our great pleasure to inform you that the Silver Jubilee National Conference (SJNC) of the Society will be held on 20 May 2022 at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC), Agargaon, Dhaka.

It may be mentioned that we were eagerly waiting to hold this grand event for more than one and half years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Initially we planned to organize this conference along with 15th ICRT of WARMTH (World Association for Radiopharmaceutical and Molecular Therapy) in Cox’s Bazar. After finalizing the event the entire world was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and we had to postpone it. Later, we successfully hosted the virtual WARMTH Conference in December 2020 and hoped for better days to come for holding our Silver Jubilee Conference. We had decided to hold the conference in December 10-11, 2021 in virtual platform and first call was circulated accordingly, but then there were many requests from our valued members to hold it physically in person. Considering the requests as well as with the improvement of the COVID-19 pandemic situation along with nationwide ongoing successful vaccination program, we have now planned to hold it physically in befitting manner. We hope, this event will be a great opportunity for all of us to meet face-to-fact after quite long time.

SNMB was established primarily for promotion and development of scientific activity of Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound and Allied Sciences in Bangladesh. It also maintains international relationship with international organizations e.g. ARCCNM, AOFNMB, WFNMB, WARMTH etc. the conference will include plenary sessions and scientific sessions which will enable the participants to exchange their experience and views with others enriching themselves by sharing the recent and newer developments in the field of Nuclear Medicine. World-renowned guest speakers from abroad will deliver virtually their state-of-art lectures and enrich the conference. A day-long conference program has been chalked out along with delicious cuisines and cultural evening.

We welcome and appreciate all the members’ continuing interest and cooperation for the activities of SNMB as you have shown in the past. We hope all members will actively participant in the silver jubilee conference, by your presence and by presenting papers to make it a grand success.
